Our school is designated as a Mainstream Primary School serving the local area but in addition provides places for pupils with hearing impairment.
We educate children from 4+ through to eleven years of age. All children are admitted into our Reception classes in the September of the academic year in which they are five.
Admission to Middleton Primary School is currently organised by Peterborough Local Authority. We converted to an academy on 1st April 2018, but will continue to use Peterborough Local Authority to manage our admissions.
The first priority is given to looked after children, a verified medical need relating to a child, children living within the catchment area and siblings. (In cases of equal merit, priority will be given to the child living nearest the school as measured by a straight line. Distance is measured in a straight line using the Local Land Property Gazetteer (LLPG) provided from the seed point located at the child's home address to the seed point for the school. The seed point is taken from the ordinance survey's (OS) Address-Base dataset. It is used to locate individual residential and school addresses using grid references as seed points.)

It is really important to submit your application in good time as last year we received more applications than places were available, meaning we were over-subscribed. In these cases you have the right to appeal.
Independent Appeal Panels meet to consider appeals from parents/carers who are unhappy with their school allocation. Dates for the appeal deadline is available at:
