EYFS visit from Police Officer Vince
The children in EYFS had a fantastic experience when Police Officer Vince came into school to talk to the children, show them his uniform and his car.
We looked at his torch, his baton, his camera and his tazor. We learnt that police officers need to have two pens and a note book at all times.
We learnt about stranger danger and what to say.
The children also learnt the police help when people are lost, if there had been an accident and arrest people who are being naughty.
We talked about the different hats they wear and the different modes of transport they use (horse, bike, car and helicopter).
The children then had a look at the car and what items were in the boot (signs, shield, fire extinguisher, first aid kit). We also were very lucky and heard the sirens (three types for different roles)
Talk to the children about their experience and write any comments underneath about what they have said.
