Special Educational Needs

At Middleton we strive to develop the whole child in order to ‘bring out the best’ in all of them. This includes children with special educational needs and disabilities.

ARRANGEMENTS FOR SUPPORTING CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE WITH SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS AND DISABILITIES

We work to follow the Children and Families Act 2014 and the code of practice for special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) so that all children can achieve their best.

If you wish to discuss your child’s support programmes please do not hesitate to get in touch with our SENCO  Mrs Maker (nmaker@middletonprimaryschool.co.uk) or Mrs Wells (vwells@middletonprimaryschool.co.uk).

If your child has, or you / we believe they may have special educational needs and disabilities, our teachers will talk with you about this and the support for your child.

For more information about local services and organisations for children, young people with special educational needs and disabilities and their families, please see the Peterborough Local Offer:

We also have the Peterborough Primary Hub for pupils with Hearing Impairment. To find out more about the hub, click the hub network logo or the link below.
